WHAT IS CABINET REFACING?

Cabinet refacing is a technique which allows us to "wrap" your existing cabinetry in high-quality, furniture-grade plywood which can be painted or stained in the color of your choice. We then replace your existing hardware, doors, drawers, and trim so that by the time we are finished, your cabinets look and function "like new" for a fraction of the cost!

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM REFINISHING?

One of the biggest mistakes a homeowner can make is painting their cabinets with latex, chalk paint, or other finishes not built to withstand repeated and daily use. There are many factors to consider when determining if cabinetry can be refinished or ultimately should be replaced. Unfortunately, not all cabinetry can be updated with these methods due to the overall integrity of the cabinet, its original composition, or past water damage.

WHICH METHOD IS BEST?

Even if a set of cabinets is deemed to be structurally sound, there may be surface-level issues such as delaminating, bubbling, or crackling that would affect the adherence of our products and render refinishing an impossibility. Because the amount of labor required to strip cabinets down to raw wood is extensive, and the products necessary to complete such an undertaking can be both messy and toxic to the homeowner, we believe that our method of refacing is a superior choice to refinishing when renovating on a budget.
